Project description:

The Project concerns a discrete contribution to the Government of Malawi's Health Sector-Wide-Approach (SWAp) by supporting CHAM Facilities working under a Service Level Agreement (SLA) with the Ministry of Health (MoH). This is to allow MoH to provide specific health services to the population through CHAM Facilities, and thereby increase access in those regions where government-owned facilities cannot provide. The purpose of the Project is to improve the availability of, access to, and utilisation of quality maternal and neonatal health care (incl. Basic Emergency Obstetric Care Centre (BEmOC) or Comprehensive Emergency Obstetric Care Services (CEmOC). This is to contribute to improve the health status of the Malawian population (particularly the poor, women, and children).

Services provided by ETLog Health EnviroTech & Logistics:

  • Analysis of the general environmental hygiene situation in the project hospitals
  • Assessment of the needs in the field of healthcare waste
  • Development of a proposal for waste management solutions
  • Development of a SWOT-Analysis for the selected concept.
