Project description:

The Government of NWFP has received financial assistance from the German Government through KfW (€ 6.25 million) to support the Equipment Basic Health Services Project.

The task of the project is to contribute to the improved health status of target groups in three selected districts Charsadda, Nowshera and Swabi. Access to adequate and efficient health care services provided in so-called "Life Saving Medical Facilities" (LSMF) shall be increased especially for women and children, and the referral system shall be strengthened (programme objective). Project Components include

  • Civil works
  • Procurement of medical and non-medical equipment
  • Development of a maintenance system
  • Accompanying measures including training in maintenance, waste management and infection control, clinical training.

Services provided by ETLog Health EnviroTech & Logistics:

  • Overall responsibility for the coordination and implementation of activities in the area of ETHIC (Environmental & Technical Hospital Infection Control).
  • Planning and supervision of the input of the national waste management / infection control expert
  • Contribution to the establishment of a monitoring and evaluation scheme of the results and activities within the waste management component for reporting to KfW and the PEA
  • Reporting on mission activities and results after completion of each mission.
