Project description:

Between 24. – 27. September 2008, a seminar was organized in Constanţa, Rumania within the scope of the project "environmental tandems – shaping together – qualification for non-government organizations in Rumania on the example of the waste management sector." ETLog Health EnviroTech & Logistics GmbH was invited to hold a lecture on the subject of "waste management in Europe" in which they were able to draw on their long experience in this area.According to the Grünen Liga Berlin e.V., the seminars are designed to bring together the various structures and working areas, support the individual participants in the planning of activities within the scope of their interests, and encourage dialogue. The project, started in summer 2007 has the aim of reacting to the current waste management situation in Rumania.

Rumania became a member of the E.U. on 1 January 2007

Services provided by ETLog Health EnviroTech & Logistics:

  • Presentation of the legal and technological developments in the European hospital waste sector and in particular Germany in the last 30 years;
  • Comparison and evaluation oft he various treatment technologies for infectious waste from institutions in the health-care sector;
  • Producing and implementing recommendations regarding the new challenges in Rumania resulting from a new waste-management system for hospital waste.
